ABOUT MEG POTOMA:
Meg Potoma (they, their, them) is a queer artist, advocate, and student art therapist living and working in Philadelphia. Meg received a BA in Art Therapy from Converse College and is working toward a Masters in Art Therapy & Counseling at Drexel University. In their personal work, Meg primarily engages with collage and mixed media with a strong focus on process. Through exploration of LGBTQ+ issues, intersectional feminism, gender identity, racism in America, societal pressure, sex, and views-of-self in their work, Meg intends to extinguish harmful stereotypes and pressures put on marginalized individuals. They hope that this work will create opportunities for dialog and education about marginalized persons and to create safer spaces for self-expression through art making.
Meg Potoma currently works full-time implementing therapeutic arts programming with older adults and as a student art therapist at the Center for Families and Relationships.
